TIMBER TONE: NATURAL TEAK

It began in 2024, in a small workshop in Aarhus. After years of stepping out of the sauna and into the cold sea — that first sharp breath, the body waking, the mind suddenly quiet — we wanted to bring that contrast home, held inside a single, considered object. The first piece was a round vessel in stainless steel, kept beside the sauna through the winter and spoken of only among friends. It belonged more to ritual than to commerce.
Cold air. Warm timber. Steam on steel. The feeling came first; the product followed later.
That first piece set the measure: brushed metal, solid timber, quiet weight, and the patience of handwork. It was never sold — it stayed in the studio as a collection piece, and in time it evolved into the square version we build today. Every numbered vessel carries something of that beginning — made slowly, as if it were still being built for the studio alone.

Heat softens. Cold awakens. Together they form one of the oldest rituals in Nordic culture — the body moved from deep warmth into cold water, and back to stillness.
The Finns call it löyly and avanto; the Danes simply call it winter bathing. For generations it has been used to ease tired muscles, sharpen the mind, support circulation and immunity, and quiet the nervous system at the end of the day.
Modern research now describes what bathers have long known: alternating heat and cold raises heart-rate variability, supports recovery and sleep, releases endorphins, and trains the body to meet stress with composure rather than tension.
KUBE N•20 was made to complete the sauna: the quiet step from heat into water. Not only recovery — rhythm. Heat, cold, breath, stillness, repeated until the day settles.
Heat. Cold. Stillness.

Not a plunge tub, not a hot tub — both, in one body. Integrated heating and cooling hold any temperature from 4 °C to 40 °C inside a double-wall insulated shell of AISI 316 stainless steel, with solid teak trim.
No construction, no plumbing. Set in position and a licensed electrician connects a single dedicated circuit. Self-contained beyond that.
Wherever the ritual lives.

Delivery requires a clear access path of min. 125 cm, or crane placement for rooftops — confirmed with you before delivery.
Placement on balconies and elevated structures requires a structural load check; ground and roof terraces are generally suitable.
Every piece numbered, placed, and documented.
